Component 2 is worth 30% of the GCSE Latin qualification and is assessed with a 1 hour 15 minute open book exam.
Students study a prescribed selection of Latin literature, both prose and verse, on a theme, together with prescribed ancient source materials. A choice of two themes is offered. Students are only required to study one of these.
