Students are required to study either Component 3A or 3B, but not both. Component 3A is worth 20% of the qualification and is assessed with a 1 hour open book exam.
Students study a prescription of Latin literature which forms a narrative, accompanied by adjacent passages in English. A choice between two narratives (either the verse or prose option) is offered.
